By accessing or using Portal Finance (the "Service"), operated by Portal Finance Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time — continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Portal Finance is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to connect bank accounts, view transactions, track net worth over time, and set spending budgets. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is intended for use in the United States only.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and up to date
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Bank Account Connections

Portal Finance allows you to connect financial accounts through Plaid and Mastercard Open Banking. By connecting an account, you authorize us to retrieve financial data on your behalf through these services. You understand that:

• We never receive or store your bank login credentials
• You can disconnect any linked account at any time from within the app
• Connection availability depends on your financial institution and these third-party services
• Financial data displayed may not always be real-time and could be subject to delays

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit malicious code or interfere with its operation
• Share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Availability & Accuracy

We strive to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that financial data displayed is always complete or current. The Service is provided "as is." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PORTAL FINANCE INC. DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PORTAL FINANCE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, FINANCIAL LOSS, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
